Spring Break

Dates: Monday, March 24 – Friday, March 28, 2014

Ages: 1st–8th grades

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm

Fees: City Residents*: $45.25 / Non-City Residents: $68.25

"Summer of Service" is the theme for our camp sessions. Camps are action-packed, filled with exciting experiences, and focus on giving back to the community. Campers will be involved in sports, learn the importance of developing healthy habits, explore the beauty of the springs and natural areas focusing on the importance of environmental stewardship, and much, much more! Camps are offered in four two-week sessions are PLUS a bonus one-week session.

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT) PROGRAM: For youth entering 9th through 12th grade
Open to those students entering 9th grade-12th grade that have an interest in working with children as well as our summer camp program. Selected participants will go through a well-rounded program with staff at each location that will cover- problem solving, community service, activity and program development and mentoring.  A typical day may consist of helping to plan and organize games and activities, assisting with lunches or snack, or assisting during field trips.

The CIT program is available at five locations: Albert "Ray" Massey (Westside) Center, Porters Community Center, Eastside Recreation Center, Clarence R. Kelly Recreation Center, and the Martin Luther King (MLK) Center.
