Youth Activities


We teach our youth that character counts! We teach Fairness, Caring, Citizenship, Respect, Responsibility and Trustworthiness while focusing on academic achievement.

YOUTH COED BASKETBALL

Youth Coed Basketball = Sportsmanship + Character!
No tryouts, all kids play, and it's fun for all! Practices take place at the Martin Luther King Jr. Multipurpose Center. Games begin mid-December and take place in Alachua County and the surrounding areas.

Dates:
Practice starts December 2, 2013.
Games begin in January and run through March 2014.
Registration ends December 19, 2013.

Ages:
5–14 year-olds. Birth Certificate is required.
Age as of December 1, 2013.

Times:
Practice is on weeknights 6–8 pm. Games are on Saturdays.
Time of play varies by age group.

Basketball Clinic:
Hosted by Eastside High School Varsity Boys basketball Coach Herman "Pop" Williams and the Eastside Basketball team.
5–10 year-olds: Wednesday, December 18, 2013, 6 pm–8 pm
11–14 year-olds: Thursday, December 19, 2013, 6 pm–8 pm

Location:
Practices are held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Multipurpose Center 1028 NE 14th Street. Games are played in Alachua County and the surrounding area.

Cost:
5 – 6 year-olds:
City Resident*: $64.75 Non-City Resident: $96.00
7–14 year-olds:
City Resident*: $82.25; Non-City Resident: $123.75
*Proof of residency (GRU bill or Voter ID Card) is required for city residents. Prices effective October 1, 2013.

Parents, remember to take the required P.A.Y.S. online course if you haven't in over a year. Access code is 1174 for our chapter.

SOCCER FOR ALL!

This program is offered through a partnership with the non-profit corporation Noah's Endeavor, Inc., for children with special physical and developmental needs.
The program teaches children to be comfortable on the field while they have fun and learn important safety skills.

Pop Warner Cheerleading

POP WARNER CHEERLEADING

All participants that meet Pop Warner's scholastic requirements are accepted. Cheerleaders that excel in the classroom may be eligible for Scholastic All-American recognition. Plus, cheerleaders will compete at the League level, and if their squad advances, they will compete at the Region and National level. Parents can help out through board involvement and fundraising.

Pop Warner Football

POP WARNER FOOTBALL

Participants compete against peers of similar age and size. Pop Warner is the only youth football program that sets and enforces a strict age and weight matrix to help reduce the chance of injury. All registrants are accepted that meet the age and weight requirements.
Parents can help out through board involvement and fundraising. Football coaches needed!
