Strategic Planning

 Accreditation:  GFR is a candidate agency for fire service accreditation under the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI).  The agency's services were evaluated by a peer assessor team during July 2013.  The team have made strategic recommendations for follow-up during the remainder of 2013 and will submit their report to the CFAI in January 2014.

Vision: "Gainesville Fire Rescue will be recognized as the model of excellence by the provision of our services."

Performance Measurement:   GFR and the City of Gainesville are members of the Florida Benchmarking Consortium.

Fire and EMS Services Master Plan:    In 2004, Alachua County contracted with ESCi to develop a master planning document for fire and emergency medical services in Gainesville and Alachua County; an updated was completed in 2013.  The document is available through the County Manager's Office in the County Administration Building.
